Microcontroller and its Comparison with Microprocessor
A micro-controller is an Integrated IC Chip which contains a central processing unit (CPU) i.e. microprocessor and all peripheral components like memory, ALU, Input interfaces and Output interface in build in a single semiconductor Chip. The main Difference of microcontroller with Microprocessor is that microprocessor has only processor in a chip and all other components like ALU, Memory and input/output devices are externally connected with the CPU through Data Bus and Address Bus.
Some general purpose Microcontrollers are 8051 Micro-controller, AVR microcontrollers, ARM microcontrollers, PIC Microcontrollers
etc.
